The perfect time for Bible reading, Bible study and quiet time for students

Your college years may not be a phase of life known for having oceans of time on your hands. Nevertheless, within the hustle and bustle of studying, working, taking care of yourself and maintaining a social life, it is important to include moments of rest and reflection. A valuable way to come to yourself and recharge spiritually is to read the Bible. But when is the best time to do this? Consider these five moments in particular:

In the morning before college 2. Bible Reading

Start your day with silence and Bible reading. This can give you a sense of focus and inspiration for the challenges ahead. For example, try reading a few chapters of the Bible during your breakfast. Or get up just 15 minutes earlier to take time for Bible reading.

2. During breaks quiet time

Use your breaks between lectures or during a break of studying for an exam to dive into the Bible. A short chapter or a few verses can help you clear your mind and gain new energy.

3. Before sleeping delve into the Bible

Make it a habit to read a piece before bedtime. This not only helps you unwind, but it can also deepen your spiritual life. A few minutes with the Bible will give you a chance to end your day with a beautiful focus.

4. Weekends and days off use for Bible study

If you don't have to work or have other commitments on the weekend or a day off, these are perfect times to dive longer and deeper into the Bible. For example, together with others in a Bible study group, or by using the Study Bible app to discover the richness of the Bible.

5. Flexible times taking advantage of the Bible

Find "idle" moments in your daily routine that you could use to read Bible. While waiting for public transportation, when a lecture is cancelled or while a meal is in the oven. Flexibility helps you make Bible reading a habit. You make this even easier for yourself by having a good app on your phone for Bible reading, such as the one from YouVersion or our Study Bible app.

Conclusion

There is no one perfect time to read the Bible; it depends on your personal routine and preferences. Experiment with the different times we've provided and discover what works best for you. By making regular time for Bible reading, you can not only experience spiritual growth, but also find more balance in your busy student life.
