1. Make it a moment and really get into it

Take your time and create a special moment when you can devote yourself fully to your Bible study. Provide a comfortable environment, with a nice cup of coffee or tea, for example. Turn off the notifications on your phone and focus your full attention on reading and understanding the texts. By consciously setting aside time and space, you can really dive into a text!

2. Be yourself in how you read the Bible, for example, get creative!

God has made you unique! Don't try to fit yourself into a technique that doesn't suit you and think outside the box! Whether you write, draw, or do something completely different, be inspired by the stories and messages of the Bible in a way that suits you. Being creative opens up new perspectives and strengthens your relationship with God. Let your imagination run wild and discover the depth of God's word in your own unique way.

3. Choose a theme to study, such as a word or character!

Getting started can sometimes be difficult, studying a theme can be very helpful! We have created a quick guide with 5 steps to get started which you can download here!

4. Make it personal, what can you learn from this?

Dive deeper into the Bible and make it personal! Discover what you can learn from the timeless lessons and stories told in it. Reflect on your own life and situations as you study the texts. What insights does the Bible offer you? What lessons can you apply in your daily life?

5. Write down what you learn and what you gain insight into, that makes it tangible!

Take pen and paper and write down what you discover during your Bible study! Recording your insights makes the lessons tangible and helps you remember and understand them better. By writing down your thoughts and reflections, you create a personal archive of growth and spiritual development. You can also read it back later which may again encourage you to dive further into the Bible!
