If someone does not believe in Jesus but has lived well, where does he go after he dies?

Paul discusses that issue in Romans 2. We read in vs.14-15 how God judges unbelievers. "Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, observe the law by nature, they make themselves the law even though they do not have it. They prove by their acts that what the law demands is written in their hearts; and their conscience confirms this, because they accuse or exonerate themselves with their thoughts."
Conscience is a central issue here. And no one knows another person's conscience, only God and that person himself. So it is indeed possible for an unbeliever to be saved, but it is definitely not certain. And neither you nor I will ever know this about anyone. Only God judges this.

More important is to look at others and at the world with the eyes of God. More important is to think about the questions God is asking of me. The world does not revolve around me; it revolves around Jesus Christ.
There is something more important in the eyes of God that we do know. And that is that that unbelieving person's life today does not honor and magnify Jesus Christ. That that person is not bearing fruit for God's Kingdom today. That he or she is not working with us to fulfill Jesus' mission. Instead of asking all kinds of questions that we don't get answers to, it is better to ask what questions God is asking of you and of me.

He loves all people, including sinners, and He desires for them to be saved. And He asks you and me: will you help me? Will you share my good message with that person?
There is another thing we also know for sure. And that is when someone is converted, then he or she is saved forever. For the Bible says in Acts 2:21 That everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved.

Then there is no more doubt!
Then that person is going to honor God with his life.
Then that person is going to serve Jesus and bear fruit.
Then we know for sure that someone is preserved.
